The Business and Skilled Migration Strategy focuses on boosting opportunities for Territory business by attracting more skilled migrants to boost local workforce capabilities.

Launched in February 2005, the Strategy aims to back Territory business to meet their skills needs in the short term and grow the Territory’s population in the longer term. Since the launch of the strategy, the number of skilled migrants arriving in the Territory has more than doubled, and these migrants are arriving with family members, further boosting the Territory’s population.
